The display may be small - but it allows a lot of useful data about the ISS to be displayed. I'll also work on adding support for a USB attached RGB LED for a nice colorful display when the ISS passes nearby,

With the Adafruit 16×2 LCD RGB display

I very much like the amount of information I can share on the small 16×2 LCD display about future or current passes of the ISS.

Although ISS-Above is compatible with any version of the display (not just the RGB version) I prefer the RGB Positive display as that allows for nice bright and colorful display backlight options.

I purchased mine fully assembled from RaspberryPiLCD.com (note: no longer seems to be in business) – but you can save some money by getting an unassembled version if you are “handy” with a soldering iron
